Pancake Lock
This lock has been on the Museum of
Fine Arts, near the Santa Fe Plaza,
since before I can remember.

The Master Lock #5 (left) is one of their finest products, it's not small and has a
not-so-easy-to-cut 3/8 (9mm) diameter hardened shackle. The Sargent & Greenleaf #0881
"Environmental" padlock dwarfs the #5 with it's 9/16" (14mm) diameter shackle and it's
rotating-disc cylinder makes it nearly impossible to pick open. Too big for most applications, I
have only seen them in use as railroad "switch-locks" replacing old-style locks, like the one
above, on switches and derails for more security. They can be used anywhere they will fit, I used
to use this one on my bicycle cable.
